Meet Todd & Jenny Chandler

We're Todd and Jenny Chandler - a husband and wife team who fell in love with the North Georgia mountains and never left. We live in Helen, we hike these trails, we eat at these restaurants, and we personally oversee every property in our collection.

 

We started Mountain Rose because we believed the Helen area deserved better vacation rentals - properties that were genuinely well-maintained, honestly described, and hosted by people who actually care. Every cabin we own we've designed from the ground up with guests in mind. Every property we co-host we manage with the same standard we hold our own to.

 

When you stay with us you're not a reservation number. You're a guest. And we treat you like one.

Do your Sautee Nacoochee cabins have hot tubs?
Yes - all three of our private cabins in Sautee Nacoochee feature premium hot tub or jacuzzi amenities. Honey Bee Cabin and Deer Ridge Cabin each have a private screened-in hot tub on the back deck, complete with an outdoor Smart TV. Red Rose Cabin features a luxurious in-bedroom jetted jacuzzi tub. All are professionally maintained before every stay.
What is the best romantic cabin near Helen GA?
All three of our Sautee Nacoochee cabins are designed specifically for couples seeking a romantic mountain escape. Red Rose Cabin features an in-bedroom jetted jacuzzi tub and stone gas fireplace. Deer Ridge Cabin offers a screened-in hot tub with outdoor Smart TV and cozy gas fireplace. Honey Bee Cabin combines a private hot tub, indoor fireplace, and direct bedroom access to the screened deck. Each sleeps up to 4 but is ideally suited for 2.
How far are your cabins from downtown Helen GA?
Our Sautee Nacoochee cabins are approximately 6-10 minutes from downtown Helen by car. Our Helen properties are walkable to restaurants, shops, tubing on the Chattahoochee River, and Helen's seasonal festivals including Oktoberfest.
Do your properties have fireplaces?
Yes - all three Sautee Nacoochee cabins feature indoor gas fireplaces, available from Labor Day through Memorial Day. Several Helen properties also feature fireplaces - check individual listings for details.

Do you have properties that sleep large groups?
Yes - Das Fischer Haus in Helen sleeps up to 8 guests across three king beds and two twin beds, making it ideal for family reunions, group trips, and multi-couple getaways. Oben Retreat sleeps up to 6 and is perfect for families or two couples traveling together.
Is it cheaper to book directly than through Airbnb or VRBO?
Yes - always. Booking directly on MountainRoseStays.com guarantees the lowest available rate on every property. Third-party platforms like Airbnb and VRBO add significant service fees on top of the nightly rate. Are your properties pet friendly?
To maintain a pristine, allergen-free environment for all guests we do not accommodate pets at any of our properties. This ensures every guest arrives at a home that meets our strict standards for cleanliness and comfort.
What is your cancellation policy?
For direct bookings, guests receive a 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival. Cancellations between 30 and 15 days prior to arrival are eligible for a 50% refund. Reservations become non-refundable within 15 days of arrival. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

First I want to thank Todd and Jenny. We had a few questions and they responded immediately. It is nice to know if something happens that you can get such quick response. The place is very nice. It is clean but had a few areas that could use some attention. But nothing at all major or unexpected for a cabin. I left the cleaning crew a note as they missed just a very few things. Again no concerns at all about overall cleanliness. We were not that close to AT which is why we came but did make it work. We ended up loving the little town of Helen and would come back to Todd and Jenny’s if we visit the area again. We loved the hot tub too. It is almost mandatory since we are pushing up some steep mountains for hiking. We did bring a couple of beach towels. Robes are provided which is wonderful. I wouldn’t mind a few more hangers but plenty of drawer space. I am just one of those people who hang a lot of my clothes. Definitely worth your consideration for booking.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Red Rose cabin. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. There were wonderful little touches like a beautiful patio off the back with dimmable string lights, a fire pit table. and large grill. The cabin also had throw blankets, large soft towels, robes, and an awesome coffee bar. We loved the coffee bar and ended up going down the road to purchase the local coffee they provided at the cabin. It was delicious. We also very much enjoyed the soaking tub and comfortable bed and pillows. Wonderful stay. The owners were beyond accommodating and helped us find a place to park our trailer while we were in town visiting. We are so grateful!

Jessie and Anna were the hero’s of our day!! My husband and I were in desperate need of a place to escape to. With our busy schedules and the heaviness of running a business while being parents and trying to squeeze in our time, Anna and Jessie were available to accommodate our last minute requests. Anna also went the extra mile to help us sleep in a little extra with graciously adjusting our checkout time. It’s a rare thing they do which I was hesitant to mention but I had to say they are the best host I’ve ever had an experience with!!
